Five supporters from Real Valladolid accepted a justice agreement sentenced them to one year in prison for having uttered racist insults towards Vinicius in a match against Real Madrid on December 30, 2022, explains AS. The defendants had used insults of all kinds, especially racist, against the Brazilian winger, while he returned to the bench after his replacement. The Spanish prosecutor's office and the player's representative agreed sanctions which will be formalized on May 21 by the Valladolid court.

In addition to the prison sentence, the accused receives a ban on participating in educational, sports or leisure activities for four years, a deprivation of the right of eligibility for the duration of the sentence, and fines ranging from 1,080 to 1,620 euros. The facts, considered to be crimes of hate with racist motivation, had been filmed and relayed on social networks. For its part, Vinicius has given up any financial compensation.
