Barely time to breathe for the internationals concerned both by the Champions League final – scheduled for May 31 – as the Club World Cup – which begins on June 14 – as an important parenthesis promises to be selection: the Final Four of the League of Nations. With the Blues a half to assume against Spain, reigning European champion on June 5 in Stuttgart.

For this meeting – and the small or grand finale which will follow on June 8 – Didier Deschamps must make the announcement of his troops next Wednesday, May 21. An unusual day for such convocations that the French Football Federation formalized this Wednesday, May 14 during the day.

As a reminder, the last rally of the Blues dates back to March 23-the date of a quarter-final return which saw the French overthrow the Croats three days after a defeat in Split (2-2, 5 shots on goal at 4 on all of the two confrontations).

No change for Deschamps?

The tricolor group two months ago was composed. Mike Maignan (AC Milan), Lucas Chevalier (Lille) and Brice Samba (Rennes) for guards. Jonathan Clauss (Nice), Jules Koundé (FC Barcelona), William Saliba (Arsenal), Ibrahima Konaté (Liverpool), Benjamin Pavard (Inter Milan), Theo Hernandez (AC Milan), Lucas Digne (Aston Villa) and Dayot Upamecano (Bayern Munich) in defense. An existing doubt about the presence of the latter, reduced by a recalcitrant knee.

Eduardo Camavonga (Real Madrid), Aurélien Tchouameni (Real Madrid), Mattéo Guendouzi (Lazio Rome), Manu Koné (AS Rome), Adrien Rabiot (Marseille) and Warren Zaïre-Emery (PSG) in the midfield. And finally Désiré Doué (PSG), Bradley Barcola (PSG), Ousmane Dembélé (PSG), Kylian Mbappé (Real Madrid), Randal Kolo Muani (Juventus Turin), Michael Olise (Bayern Munich) and Marcus Thuram (Inter Milan) in attack.
