Last October, Wojciech Szczesny made a strong choice by deciding to join FC Barcelona, after announcing his sports retirement in August. The Polish goalkeeper has established himself as the number one of the Blaugrana in the absence of Marc-André Ter Stegen, seriously injured. A hierarchy confirmed by coach Hansi Flick, even after the return to the competition of the German goalkeeper in early May.

But while his contract is coming to an end in June, Szczesny spoke of his future at the microphone of Canal+. Indeed, if he has received a two -year extension offer, he has not yet decided concerning the rest of his adventure in Catalonia.

Szczesny's priority for his future

“I do not hide that an extension of two years, but I have to decide with my family what is best for us. I think I owe my family, to my wife, to make such a decision together. So I did not choose. (…) I will make my decision in the coming weeks. For the moment, I take advantage of what has happened and I do not wonder if I will stay here or not ”said the old Bianconero.

Note that the leaders of Barça want to keep Szczesny as a lining of Ter Stegen. This season, Szczesny has played 29 games in all competitions with the Cules, keeping his cages invited during 13 games.
