The SUV, led by a friend of the player, was spotted thanks to an ANPR camera as being not insured, then sent to the pound. The Cameroonian now has 14 days to prove his property and insurance, under penalty of seeing the vehicle sold or destroyed.
This is a new incident which is added to an extra-sporting context already complicated, since the 29-year-old had seen his wife be the victim of a flight last March. Note that this is not the first time that a Manchester United player has been in this situation: Paul Pogba had seen his Rolls-Royce seized in 2021 for similar reasons.
