It is a file that had given its verdict fairly quickly. Coveted since last summer by Real Madrid, the English international Trent Alexander-Arnold was announced on the departure of Liverpool. The Madrid training hoped to recover it free this summer while his contract therefore expired in June 2025. And if the Reds tried to extend it, the English and Spanish press were unanimous on its desire to join Casa Blanca next season.

Finally, despite some last attempts to extend it from the Reds, the player decided to leave the club this summer. He himself announced it a few days ago. And necessarily, the 26 -year right side will leave a big void in the hearts of supporters, as in the right corridor of the Reds, which is much more problematic for Arne Slot. But in search of players with a similar profile to replace it in the Dutch tactician system, Liverpool management seems to have found the man of the situation.

A clause at 40 million

Indeed, the English are now focusing with great interest on the file of Jérémie Frimpong according to the latest information revealed by the Time. If several names have been mentioned in Anfield's corridors, it is that of the Leverkusen player who returns the most. Its clause fixed around 40 million euros being considered a good deal by the management of the Reds.

With the departure of Xabi Alonso, that of Florian Wirtz to Bayern Munich and that of Jonathan Tah, it would be a new blow for the 2024 German champion who is therefore preparing to live a hectic summer transfer window. But the Dutch international (12 selections) seems to correspond to the expectations of Arne Slot in this position. Explosive, fast and offensive, it could make it possible to have an elusive straight corridor with Mohamed Salah. It remains to be seen when Liverpool will take action now.
