The dream of a PSG-Bonding finale turns to the headache! Tickets are tearing out, but are almost impossible to find. Analysis of an infernal rush.

Since the historic qualification of Paris Saint-Germain for the final of the Champions League against Inter Milan, a wave of euphoria has swept over the capital. On May 31, in Munich, the Reds and Bleu have a chance to register their name for the European football pantheon. Naturally, thousands of supporters dream of being present to live this moment. But very quickly, the excitement gave way to a palpable anxiety: to find a ticket for the Allianz Arena is the responsibility of the obstacle, even the mission impossible for a large majority. The question burns all lips: why is this precious place so difficult to obtain?

Quota cleaver: a cold shower for Parisians

The first reason for this organized shortage is relentless: the number of places allocated. UEFA, organizer of the event, has only granted 18,000 tickets to PSG (and as much at Inter Milan). A figure which may seem substantial, but which is derisory in the face of the immense demand and the total capacity of the Allianz Arena (75,024 spectators). It is 2.7 times less than the capacity of the Parc des Princes! In addition, from these 18,000 places, it is still necessary to deduct those reserved for the families of the players and the partners of the club, still reducing the quota available to support it “Lambda”. A first cold shower for the hopes of many fans.

PSG fans are disillusioned about tickets.

Privileged subscribers: a system that excludes massively

Faced with this limited offer, PSG had to make drastic choices, detailed from May 9. The club has decided to favor its oldest and most assiduous subscribers through a successive wave sales system, accessible via unique codes on the UEFA platform. The first wave, launched on May 9, targets those with a year of seniority and a high presence rate in matches. The following waves, until May 20, gradually open up to other subscribers, but always “provided that there are still available places”. Clearly, for the non-bodies or less regular subscribers, the hope of obtaining a ticket via the club's official channels is almost non-existent.

The black market explodes: ticket prices that make you dizzy!

This official rarity inevitably feeds a parallel market where prices reach delusional heights. Unofficial resale sites, such as Seatpick, offer places from 2045 euros, and some can even climb to astronomical sums like 57,000 or even 80,274 euros for “private skybox”! A speculative madness that makes the ticket inaccessible for the overwhelming majority of supporters. UEFA had organized a sale for the general public in April, with prices ranging from 70 to 950 euros, but this window has long been closed.

Disillusionment in sight: a dream inaccessible for many?

Between the limited quota, the priority given to the most faithful subscribers and the explosion of prices on the black market, the conclusion is bitter: finding a ticket for the PSG-Binding Final. The disillusionment promises to be immense for thousands of Parisian supporters who will have to be content to follow the match in front of their television, in bars, or in front of the giant screen promised by the Paris City Hall. A meager consolation in the face of the broken dream of attending what could be the greatest moment in the history of the club.
