Inter Milan will evolve well with its offensive duo Lautaro Martinez-Marcus Thuram for the semi-final return of the Champions League against Barça, this Tuesday evening in Giuseppe-Meazza (kick-off at 9 p.m., live on Canal+ Foot). The French international had resumed in time for the first leg in Catalonia last week, and had opened the scoring of a magnificent Madjer. The first meeting ended at 3-3.
Lautaro Martinez, however, replaced at halftime in the first leg due to muscle discomfort, is operational and begins the meeting alongside his friend Thuram. Simone Inzaghi aligns her experienced midfield composed of Hakan çalhanoglu, Henrikh Mkhital and Nicolo Barella.
Victim of a sprain two weeks ago, Benjamin Pavard is again forfeited against the Blaugranas. The Colossus Allemand Yann Aurel Bisseck (1.96 m) is aligned to the right of Francesco Acerbi.
Inter: SOMMER – BISMER – BISSECK, ACERBI, BASTONI – DUMFRIES, BARELLA, çalhanoglu, MKHITARYAN, DIMARCO – Thuram, Martinez.
Thuram only French international
On the Catalan side, Jules Koundé is absent due to muscle injury. Hansi Flick opts for Eric Garcia to the right of his defense. Ronald Araujo is on the bench because the central hinge is composed by Pau Cubarsi and Iñigo Martinez. The midfield is rather offensive with Frenkie de Jong, Pedri and Dani Olmo from the start as in the first leg, at the expense of Gavi.
Robert Lewandowski (in the recovery phase) are also on the bench.
The eleven of Barça: Szczesny – Garcia, Cubarsi, Martinez, Martin – Olmo, de Jong, Pedri – Lamine Yamal, Ferran Torres, Raphinha.
