Cole Palmer put an end to his scarcity. After 18 games without scoring, the attacking midfielder has returned to the net with Chelsea against Liverpool (3-1), this Sunday in the Premier League.

The European vice-champion 2024 perfectly converted a penalty obtained at the very end of the match by the Blues, after a fault by Jarell Quansah on Moists Caicedo. Author of his 1ᵉʳ goal in the championship since January 14, Palmer wanted to meet the criticisms that occurred during this vacuum passage.

“I have always suffered that”

“I stayed three months without scoring, but it gave me even more motivation and desire to do well, not only for me, but for the team. Nowadays, social networks are filled with idiots. The trolls and all that, I do not pay attention to it. (…) Personally, I feel very mentally. No matter what people say, I don't mind, I always suffered it when I grow up so I don't care. ” reacted the ex-Citizen.

Despite his hollow period, Palmer remains the most prolific player in Chelsea. With the London training, he accumulated 15 goals – and 10 assists – in 42 games in all competitions.
