A twenty -year love story ends. Trent Alexander-Arnold, a pure product of the Liverpool Academy, formalized his departure from the English club after the season.

The end of the adventure of Trent Alexander-Arnold in Liverpool is now acted. At the end of the contract next June and announced on the start, the English right side confirmed his intention to leave the Reds through a farewell message addressed to the supporters of the Mersey club.

“After 20 years spent in Liverpool, the time has come for me to confirm that I will leave at the end of the season. This is the most difficult decision of my life. I know that many of you wondered why I hadn't talked yet or have been frustrated by that, but I have always intended to focus on the interest of the team, which was to obtain the 20th title. This club is my whole life – all my universe – for 20 years. From the academy until today, the support and the love that I felt on the part of all, inside and outside the club, will remain forever engraved in my memory. I will always have a debt to all of you. But I have never known anything else and this decision aims to take up a new challenge, to get out of my comfort zone and to surpass myself, both professionally and personal. I gave the best of myself every day in this club, and I hope you have the impression that I gave you the same during my stay here. From the bottom of my heart, I thank everyone – my coaches, my leaders, my teammates, the staff and our incredible supporters – for the past 20 years. I had the chance to live my dreams here and I will never take for the special moments that I had the chance to live with all of you. My love for this club will never go out “assured the child of West Derby on X.

As a reminder, in the Liverpuldian jersey, Alexander-Arnold will have been of all the recent successes of the LFC, winning in particular 9 major titles: two coronations in the Premier League, a FA Cup (England Cup), two Carabao Cups (Cups of the English League), a Champions League, a club World Cup, a UEFA Supercoupe and a Community Shield. And as mentioned by rumors throughout the season, the next destination for number 66 of Liverpool would be none other than Real Madrid.
