AS Monaco won this Saturday on the lawn of AS Saint-Etienne (3-1), in Ligue 1. A precious success which allows the men of Adi Hütter to start from the front after the draw conceded in Le Havre (1-1) last week. These three points temporarily replace the princely club in second place in the ranking, ahead of Olympique de Marseille, and extend its invincibility series with four league games.

For Folarin Balogun, scorer at the end of the game, this victory has a particular taste, as it brings ASM closer to its end -of -season goal: a qualification in the Champions League.
“You can say that the mission is accomplished. We had to win today, we remain focused on the objective of the Champions League ”, said the former member of Reims at the microphone of Dazn.

“The work is not over”

The American striker nevertheless keeps his feet on the ground. He knows that the road is still strewn with pitfalls, with two games to come against Lyon and Lens. “Now there are two games left. The work is not over, but we are satisfied with this beautiful evening. Because we had injured, absent, but that doesn't stop this team. We were solid, despite the equalization, and finished the match well by responding behind ”added Balogun.
