For one of his last matches in the Leicester jersey, Jamie Vardy found a way to distinguish himself unexpectedly. During the first half of the meeting between the Foxes and Southampton, two training courses already relegated to Championship, Vardy opened the score. Then, a few minutes later, the international striker took the whistle.

It was for a short time and because Mr. Webb, the referee, had just been struck at the face level by Jordan Ayew, but Vardy took the hand of the man in black, on the ground, to whistle and have the game stopped.

After being treated and having noticed the beautiful bump that adorned his forehead, David Webb had to give up continuing. The match was arrested for ten minutes before one of the assistants took over and was equipped with the necessary technology.

Ayew, not as disrupted as Mr. Webb, doubled in order for the break before the break, with a powerful strike at the ground from the exterior of the surface.
