Strasbourg – PSG: the ratings of the match

PSG no longer has any interest in seeking invincibility in Ligue 1. After being beaten last week at home against Nice, Parisians are now turned to the Champions League and a victory in the semi-finals go against Arsenal to fruit on Wednesday at the Parc des Princes. Meanwhile, Luis Enrique's men moved this Saturday on the lawn of Strasbourg. Faced with Alsatians who aspire to a European qualification to reward their good season, the cards were strongly rebatted. Especially since Luis Enrique decided to spare his executives by aligning a largely revamped team: thus, Axel Tape, Lucas Hernandez, Lucas Beraldo, Kang-in Lee, Senny Mayulu or Ibrahim Mbaye were established.

On the other side, Liam Rosenior had made the decision to release heavy artillery to obtain such precious success. From the outset, PSG has shown that it did not come as a victim. Found on the left, Kang-in Lee sent a millimeter center to Gonçalo Ramos who could not adjust his head to the first post (3rd). From then on, the wind turned and, under the impulse of the Meinau, the Strasbourg resumed control of the operations. And on one of his first frank offensives, the RCSA hurt. On a well -fired corner, Mamadou Sarr took over the head of the head. The leather returned to Lucas Hernandez which could not avoid the mainstream-cam (1-0, 20th).

The wake up of PSG was not enough

Paning to find fluidity in their game, the teammates of Joao Neves failed to get their heads out of the water. Found behind by Habib Diarra, Félix Lemaréchal wrapped his attempt and left Safonov no chance (2-0, 45+3rd). A blow for the Parisians who therefore returned to the locker room with a deficit of two goals on the display board. However, this delay was quickly reduced when the locker room returns. Raised, Bradley Barcola went to score alone at the end of a frankly stunful lonely rush (2-1, 46th). From then on, Paris has revived the machine. Taking more and more confidence in their game, the Ile -de -France residents got closer to the opposing surface. However, this bit of creativity was still missing to make the difference in the last passes.

Coming into play, Désiré Doué brought this missing pep, but the former Rennais Loupait the frame during his first attempt (71st). And between the excesses of individualism of the young Mbaye or the many implications of Gonçalo Ramos in the face of the goal, the score has not evolved. Especially since Strasbourg could count on a Djordje Petrovic imperial in goals. With this victory, Strasbourg makes a superb operation in the classification. Pointing in fourth place following this success, the Alsatians can believe more than ever in the Champions League. For its part, Paris does not reassure itself before Arsenal.

The man of the match

– LemarĂ©chal (8): The one who joined Strasbourg last summer spent a lot of time close to the opposing repair surface, without trying to create imbalances itself, at first. But on his one and only attempt, he sent a splendid strike in the skylight of a helpless Safonov (45th+3). This jewel seemed to give it wings, since it has risen in the second period. Replaced by Nanasi (79th).

RC Strasbourg

– Petrovic (6): The Strasbourg porter experienced an extremely quiet first act, Paris purring a lot. But on the first real Parisian attempt in the second half, he could not do much against Barcola, who was able to try his luck almost at close range (47th). Always in demand despite this Parisian accelerator, he then interposed on a center-shit in Ruiz (66th). At the very end of the match, he easily captured a Barcola attempt (90th+1). A very quiet afternoon for the Serbian.

– Gifted (6): If he was sometimes taken behind his back, especially at the start of the match, the Ivorian quickly settled the sliders to appear more comfortable. Very good in reading the game, serene to recovery, he achieved a good part, not being done by Barcola. The rapid reduction in the score by the former Lyonnais did not disturb him. Warned of a yellow card (86th).

– DoukourĂ© (6): The 21-year-old has, like the rest of the RCS rearguard, made a quality afternoon. If some of his raises have sometimes left something to be desired, especially during the start of the game, the former Valenciennes was strong in duels and fulfilled his mission. Replaced by Sylla (79th).

– Sarr (7): The Frenchman has been generally solid on the defensive level. Often well placed, he was able to identify several very dangerous balloons, including centers at earth. His biggest fact of arms is obviously his head on the corner of the opening of the score, since he pushes Hernandez to the fault (20th). On the reduction of Barcola's score, it is however completely speeded and cannot intervene (47th). Replaced by omobamidele (69th).

– Bakwa (7): A big activity on the right side on the part of the former Bordeaux. Very impactful on the wing, he was able to send several centers to his partners, however lacking precision. During the last forty-five, however, he dropped diet and was more discreet. Replaced by Amo-Ameyaw (79th).

– Santos (7): A beautiful part of the Brazilian. In the midfield, he stood out by a lot of accuracy in almost everything he has undertaken, notably ending the meeting with the lowest number of ball losses among his teammates. Even in his defensive interventions, he was very clean.

– Barco (6): The Argentinian did not shine particularly this afternoon. If he has, at times, tried to break the lines by advancing with the ball, he could never create an imbalance within the Parisian block. Often present on the outskirts of the opposing surface, he did not make the Ile -de -France danger run on these phases of play.

– Moreira (6.5): One Saturday, fairly correct for Portuguese. On his left side, he was very altruistic, although often rough. However, he did not show himself sharp enough in his shots to make real differences, but tried a lot. Replaced by Ouattara (62nd).

– LemarĂ©chal (8): see above

– Diarra (7.5): The Strasbourg captain was very active in the axis. Practising and precise with his left foot, he caused multiple imbalances in the Parisian defense. He is widely involved in opening the scoring of his team, kicking the corner taken up by Sarr (20th), and a decisive passer on the second goal. He perfectly fixed the Parisian defense before alerting LemarĂ©chal, who concluded the action with brilliance (45th+3).

– Emegha (5.5): A fairly complicated match, as for most centers who face PSG. The 22 -year -old has often found himself back to the game, a position in which he was not necessarily the most comfortable. He sometimes showed creativity, like this opening to LemarĂ©chal, a little too powerful (36th). He benefited from more space in the second half, but did not take advantage of it.

Paris Saint-Germain

– Safonov (4): Difficult afternoon for the Russian goalkeeper, who could obviously do nothing about the goal of Lucas Hernández. Before undergoing a sublime strike from LemarĂ©chal. He did not succeed in this match, apart from a nice outing in his feet in front of Emegha. Little things to say about the rest.

– Hernandez (2.5): A very complicated start to the match where he had a lot of trouble to counter the climbs of Bakwa and Diarra on his side. But also in air duels and on arrested kicks, evidenced by his sad goal against his camp when there was no danger. Also at fault on the marking of Diarra during the second Parisian goal, it was Replaced at the break by the young Kamara (5.5)much more reassuring overall, like a very good tackle (65th) and three balloons recovered for the 18 -year -old titi.

– Beraldo (4): Associated with the young tape, the Brazilian had the opportunity to be the boss of the Paris central defense, but it was also difficult for him. He completely missed on a recovery (24th) and was not always reassuring, especially when marking the opening of the score. It was better after the break with a beautiful won duel (70th), although his match should not win points in the rotation.

– Tape (5): For his first minutes in Ligue 1, the young defender was directly established. And if he was logically not perfect, he showed a certain character like a good diverted ball (30th) and insurance in duels (4 won and 4 ball recovery). An encouraging first outing for the one who seemed more solid than his largely experienced partners.

– Zaire-Emery (4.5): Aligned in a side position on the match sheet, the captain of the day alternated on the right side with Joao Neves to help his defense. But it was not really successful in a first half where the Strasbourgers easily took over the Parisian block. But he distributed good balloons to Mbaye and Ramos at times, who gave nothing.

– Lee (4): A beautiful movement towards Ramos to start his match (3rd), but he then had a hard time unraveling the Alsatian jet and clearly did not make the best technical choices, like a completely missed strike (35th). It was a little better in aggression, but the South Korean finished the first injured period and was Replaced at halftime by DouĂ© (4). The French international has not been as sparkling as in recent weeks, with several missed dribbles and technical imprecision.

– Neves (4.5): In a hybrid role, the Portuguese has been a lot of them in the field to help its young partners. His good interceptions have sometimes done good, but he also left a lot of space in the Alsatians to progress. Higher after the break, he did not really manage to find his attack partners. Replaced by Ruiz (62nd).

– Mayulu (5.5): Very active at the start of the game, it was served a lot and sought to play forward, but without success. We saw him combine with Barcola and Mbaye regularly and even come and provoke towards the opposing surface. Defensively, it was also interesting with 6 duels won and 4 recovery. A match where he was less shy and managed to stand out.

– Barcola (6): He did not make a big match, but Barcola showed that he was still decisive. In difficulty during the first period, it was taken too easily by DouĂ© and the Strasbourg defense. However, he showed a good lonely rush to reduce the scoring and that gave him confidence for the future, because he was more interesting to find his partners.

– Ramos (4.5): A frustrating match for the Portuguese striker who had very few opportunities. But on his rare occasions, he missed his head (3rd), before rubbing in Petrovic on a powerful strike (35th). His match was nevertheless improved by a nice deep pass to launch Barcola on the reduction of the score. But other than that, he was not always fair in the discounts and his choices.

– Mbaye (3.5): Unfortunately, he is one of those who have lost points. For his third tenure in Ligue 1, the French international U17 had a lot of trouble to make differences since his right side. Often lonely, he was not very good in his placement and has shown too much gaps in the foot. Easily taken by DoukourĂ©, he did not make the right choices, especially on his only occasions in the game (78th, 82nd).
