Flick reveals the only weakness in Barça

Barcelona coach Hansi Flick admitted that his team was to improve his defense on a kick-off after the first leg against the Inter in the Champions League semi-finals.

This is a major weak point of Blaugrana in recent weeks. Flick was criticized both for the high defense of Barcelona after the first leg in Montjuic, and for his vulnerability on set kicks, after the double of Denzel Dumfries, man of the match, on corner. Regarding the style of play of the Blaugrana, Flick expressed any concern.

“We can progress in attack as in defense. Many say that we take too many risks in our style of play, I read the same thing in Germany. It is said that we collect too many goals, but if we observe the way the other large teams collect goals, there is not much difference. I don't know exactly, but I think that with Real Madrid, it's similar.

“It's not just a question of size” – Hansi Flick about inter -stop kicks

“We score a lot of goals, that's how we want to play, and I'm satisfied with it. Of course, our style of play has risks, but I love it. In the end, we focus only on the defense of four for the goals conceded and on the attackers for the goals scored. But everything is a team issue: the ball starts from the goalkeeper and ends up with the attacker. Or conversely, he can start with the attacker. The important thing is how we play collectively. This is what I want, a united team.

Hansi Flick satisfied

After the first leg at the Estadi Olimpic Lluis Companys, Flick mentioned that the set kicks were one of the highlights of the Inter, but also the difference in size between the two teams.

“I think we can defend much better. It is not only the size, it is the way we against, the one against one, the way in which we assume his responsibilities in defense … But of course, the Inter hurt us a lot on stopped kicking. Bayern also conceded two goals against Inter, I think. The Inter also has an excellent shooter stopped (Hakan Calhanoglu), perhaps one of the best.

During her last two games, Barcelona has conceded four goals on set up against Inter and Real Madrid, five in total in April. It should be noted that one of these goals was a direct free kick from Kylian Mbappé, but it is certainly a concern for Flick.
