An announced time for the end of the season, Erling Haaland resumed training and even took place on the Touche de Manchester City on Friday.

Manchester City will be able to count on its essential Erling Haaland scorer for the end of the season. Victim of a large ankle sprain on March 30 in Bournemouth, the Norwegian cyborg was potentially missing the rest of the season according to some British media. But he resumed training this week, after a month of rest, and was registered on the Cityzens match sheet against Wolverhampton, Friday evening in the Premier League.

The former Dortmund player has participated in two training sessions in recent days and offered Pep Guardiola to sit on the bench for the arrival of the Wolves at Etihad Stadium.
“To be honest, I prefer to have Erling on the bench only with our president (in the stands)”joked the Catalan coach before the meeting on Sky Sports.

Haaland did not return to competition by entering the end of the match. This is a single goal by Kevin de Bruyne (35th) which enabled the Mancunian training to win against the Wolves (1-0) at the opening of the 31st day, in order to temporarily take 3rd place in the classification in Newcastle with two points more than the Magpies.

Haaland in the FA Cup final?

The 24 -year -old scorer, author of 30 goals in 40 games this season, will probably take over in Southampton, the Red Lantern next week to compete more seriously at the FA Cup final against Crystal Palace, on May 17 in Wembley. Man City will finish his championship against Bournemouth and Fulham with the imperative to finish in the top 5 in order to qualify for the next Champions League.

Norway can also be relieved. The Scandinavian selection will be able to count on its star player in the next two matches of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, for a terrible shock against Italy on June 6 and then a meeting in Estonia three days later. The Man City season will then continue with the Club World Cup in the United States (June 14-July 13), with Haaland but without de Bruyne.
