Paris Saint-Germain approaches its semi-final go to the Champions League against Arsenal with great determination this Tuesday (9 p.m.).

This 2024-25 campaign will definitely have an English flavor for the Paris Saint-Germain. After facing Arsenal in the league phase (2-0 defeat), overthrowed Manchester City at the start of the year (4-2 victory) and validated at each its ticket for the following towers against Liverpool (0-1, 1-0) and Aston Villa (3-1, 2-3), the French champions move again in London to find the Gunners.

A perilous journey, inevitably, for a Parisian team which will have to confront one of the European references of the moment. Dolphin of Liverpool in the Premier League, Arsenal is a solid team, consistent and run by the principles of play established by his manager, Mikel Arteta.

Mikel Arteta, Arsenal manager.

The Gunners are formidable in several aspects of the game: their defensive sector, very hermetic, the intensity they are able to put with a typical volume of a English team, and the set kicks, of which they have become the specialists.

Good news for PSG!

If Parisians therefore expect a tough opposition, some positive points also tip the scale. Among the good news before this first round is in particular the suspension of Thomas Partey. More discreet media than his friends from the middle Declan Rice and Martin Odegaard, the Ghanaian international, suspended for this semi-final to go after a warning received in Bernabeu, is a centerpiece of the Gunners system. It is even the athletic bail.

Without its hub, Arsenal will have to fill the vacuum of an extremely active player in the recovery of the balloon and precise in its use. Mikel Merino, replaced in the middle after having evolved in a role of false number 9, is expected to replace it.
