While Manchester City qualified for the FA Cup final on Sunday, Erling Haaland, absent for a month, has resumed training and will prepare for the last games of the season.

After a particularly painful season, with many disappointments in the Premier League and in the Champions League (for elimination in play -offs against Real Madrid on penalties), Manchester City can end up on a positive note. The training of Pep Guardiola is in a good dynamic with two clear objectives: finish in the top 5 of the English championship to qualify for the next C1 and win the FA Cup final on May 17 in Wembley against Crystal Palace, perhaps with Erling Haaland in the team.

The Cityzens won their ticket for a third CUP final on Sunday, by defeating Nottingham Forest (2-0), thanks to achievements by Rico Lewis (a 20-meter strike, 2nd) and Josko Gvardiol (head on a corner from Omar Marmoush, 51st). In the aftermath of Palace's demonstration of force in front of Aston Villa (3-0), the second semi-final at Wembley this Sunday could have been relaunched at the time of play but Morgan Gibbs-White struck the amount of Stefan Ortega Stroke (65th and 70th)! The Catalan coach did not need to bring Kevin de Bruyne into play …

Haaland was forfeited for this trip to London, but the Norwegian striker, victim of an ankle injury at the end of March, resumed training on Saturday alongside Rodri. If the Golden Ball 2024 will need a lot of time to find the competition after its rupture of the previous cross ligament of the right knee at the end of September, Haaland, it can gradually resume in the coming weeks, while Man City is playing the last last League games in addition to the final.

Haaland ready for Norway

In any case, Erling Haaland should be fully operational for the next two matches of Norway in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, against Italy on June 6 in Oslo, and against Estonia. The Norwegians began their qualifying campaign in March by two victories and thus have six points before their shock against the Nazionale, which has not yet started its qualifications!

After his two particularly prolific seasons (52 then 38 goals in all competitions), Erling Haaland has scored 30 times this season (21 goals in the Premier League and 8 goals in LDC). In addition to the end of the English season, the former Crack of Borussia Dortmund will have the opportunity to shake the nets of the Club World Cup in the United States, with matches against the Wydad, Al-Ain and Juventus as an opponents during the group phase.
