The first season of Ethan Mbappé in Losc was nightmare and it is already over. Engaged free last summer, after his professional beginnings at PSG alongside his big brother Kylian, the young midfielder was fully integrated into the Lille group by Bruno Genesio, but several injuries regularly held him back during the season, including the one that required an operation at the Right Quadriceps in early October and which made him miss three and a half months of competition.

In the final sprint in Ligue 1 which can allow DOGUES to win a new qualification in the Champions League, Genesio was clearly counting on the 18 -year -old as a lining at the post of right wing. The technician praised the “Qualities of speed, percussion, carefreeness too, and then of finisher” from the native of Montreuil and said a week ago again, that Mbappé was “An additional offensive argument very, very interesting”. The interested party scored a goal refused for offside last Sunday against Auxerre (3-1).

Sunday, Ethan Mbappé was launched in the 72nd minute of the meeting in Angers, in place of Hakon Haraldsson, author of the second goal of the Northerners at the Raymond-Kopa stadium. But, barely two minutes later, he gave himself a tear to one of the ischo-leg muscles of the left leg. A scoring at the back of the thigh which will keep it away from the field for about three weeks. MBAPPé will therefore not be able to participate in the last three meetings of the DOGUES this season, against OM, Brest and Reims.

Ethan Mbappé goes out on stretcher

Unable to get up, the player trained at PSG was evacuated on a stretcher and held his head, crying, well aware that he had still been caught up in muscle injury and that his first season in LOSC was over. Mitchel Bakker replaced it (79th) and the northern club, reduced to 10 after the exclusion of Bafodé Diakité, validated its 2-0 victory in Angevin land to temporarily take 2nd place (before the OM meeting in the evening against Brest).

Ethan Mbappé has failed to be decisive in a tenure and eight entries in Ligue 1, in three appearances in the Champions League (including a start against Dortmund in the round of 16) and in a meeting in the French Cup (against Dunkirk).
