Keylor Navas has not forgotten his departure from Real Madrid. Barred by Thibaut Courtois for the post of titular goalkeeper, the Costarian international joined the ranks of Paris Saint-Germain in September 2019.

During an interview with Cadena Serthe current goalkeeper of Newell's Old Boys spoke of the end of his adventure with the Merengue, marked by a lack of playing time. He notably explained that, although this decision was necessary, it had been contacted.

“I would have stayed there all my life”

“I remember it. Obviously, these are decisions that you make not with your heart, but thinking about what will be best for your football. This moment when I had to leave Madrid, I left because I was not going to have the minutes to play. When you are a footballer, you want to play. Another team gave me another chance to play. But if I had made the decision with my heart, I would have stayed there all my life ”explained the former Parisian.

As a reminder, under the Madrid colors, Navas won 10 titles, including an incredible triple in the Champions League, with consecutive victories in 2016, 2017 and 2018.
