The French football team is back at the Parc des Princes! In 2024, the Blues had already had to move away from the Stade de France, which was monopolized by the Paris Olympic Games.
Next fall, Didier Deschamps' men will find the Parc des Princes, during the 2026 World Cup qualifiers. This time, the reason is quite different. It is linked to the uncertainty concerning the concession of the Stade de France, which will be renewed this summer.
“Due to the uncertainty about the change of concession at the Stade de France in August 2025, and the agenda constraints of international matches, we were obliged to provide the UEFA the stadiums for the qualifying matches of the 2026 World Cup”, explained the president of the FFF, Philippe Diallo, to the team.
The Blues at the Park
“We have launched a call for tenders and 13 cities were candidates for the matches of the French male team. After examinations of the sporting and economic criteria, the Parc des Princes was chosen for the three autumn matches. For the following three, in March and June 2026, we are a time to reflect to determine our choice. »»
The Blues will therefore face Iceland (September 9), Azerbaijan (October 10) and Ukraine (November 13) during the 2026 World Cup qualifiers. In March, there will either be the dams for the World Cup, or a friendly match. Two other preparation meetings are scheduled for June 2026, in places remaining to be defined.
