The Italian Ministry of the Interior decided that no risk meeting in the Italian championship will take place in the evening during the 2025-2026 season. This measurement comes after the violent incidents that occurred before the Rome derby, opposing AS Roma to Lazio, where ultras of the two clubs have tried to force the police roadblocks around the Olympic stadium. About 500 supporters from each team were armed with iron bars and hammers, and were pushed back by the police, who wounded 24. The ministry therefore announced that, as of next season, risky matches will be played only during the day.

In addition to this new measure concerning the schedules of the matches, the authorities have imposed a ban on travel for Lazio and AS Roma supporters for the next three games outside their teams. Six ultras were arrested after these clashes and stadium prohibitions. The Ministry of the Interior also communicated this decision to the Italian Football Federation (FIGC) to be set up in the 2025-2026 season, in order to avoid new violence related to risk matches.
