While a petition requesting the end of this commercial partnership had collected more than 70,000 signatures, Paris Saint-Germain formalized this Wednesday the renewal of its partnership with the organization Visit Rwanda until 2028. A controversial signature after the M23, a group armed directly supported by Rwanda, has perpetrated massacres in the east of the Democratic Republic of Congo.

This extension only comes a few days after a group of LFI deputies requested the immediate end of this partnership for the same reasons. Last year, the central defender of PSG Presnel Kimpembe even spoke to denounce these same massacres. On the sidelines of this signature, the director general of PSG Victoriano Melero said that the club is “Happy to continue this partnership with Visit Rwanda. Together, we help discover the cultural richness and beauty of Rwanda, while showing that football can inspire and bring communities around the world. »»
