With a victory for PSG against Aston Villa (3-1) in the quarter-final first leg of the Champions League, and a draw for OL against Manchester United (2-2) at the same stadium in competition in the Europa League, the week of Ligue 1 clubs still engaged on the European scene was rather positive. Results that do good to the UEFA index.

France actually digs its advance on its direct pursuers in the race for fifth place, distanting the Netherlands a little more, Portugal and Belgium, which are no longer represented this season. If the Top 4, composed of England, Italy, Spain and Germany, seems untouchable, this fifth row is important to consolidate.

This fifth place will effectively obtain three direct tickets and a place in the preliminary round of the Champions League for the 2026-2027 season, as was the case for France this year. The sixth in the ranking, on the other hand, must be satisfied with two tickets for the C1 and access to the qualification towers.
