This PSG – Aston Villa had too many stories to tell us and too many reasons to keep us awake. Between the 100th of Luis Enrique on the Parisian bench, the return of Unai Emery, Lucas Digne and Marco Asensio in their old garden, or the reunion between Marcus Rashford, Emiliano Martinez and the French public, this meeting promised to be emotionally charged before his kick -off. It was, but on arrival, it was the men of Luis Enrique who smile after this new victory obtained in talent and character (3-1). As of kick -off, the two training courses offered us a real style opposition. PSG was in control, when the villans preferred to let their opponents maneuver as they please. This territorial domination of the Parisians was first materialized by a too soft strike from Vitinha (5th), a half-volley of Dembélé (8th), then another dry shot of Hakimi (18th), each time repelled by an Emiliano Martinez decidedly indifferent to the reception being reserved for him by the Parc des Princes.
Overall
Vitinha, again, had plenty of leisure to adjust the Argentinian, but did not frame his attempt at the entrance to the surface (24th). The English certainly did not ask for it as much, but as several times already this season, Nuno Mendes was guilty of a moment of error, with a loss of a heavy ball of consequences. McGinn initiated the counter, Rashford and Tielemans combined on the side, and Morgan Rogers was at the end of the chain to push the ball to the bottom of the nets of a helpless Donnarumma (35th, 0-1). The English joy was only stealthy, since four minutes later, Désiré Doué offered us the gesture of the evening. He stared at Rogers, transplanted inward, and came to house his ball in the skylight of a paralyzed Emiliano Martinez (39th, 1-1). Paris outrageously dominated its subject, and half-time was a beneficial. As soon as the locker room returns, Kvaratskhelia, preferred to Barcola for this meeting, made Disasi dance before triggering a heavy strike from the left foot in a closed angle. Martinez was speechless, once again (49th, 2-1). He was more successful in front of Hakimi, which he first defeated (58th), before losing, but being saved by an offside from the Moroccan (71st). Opposite, Donnarumma would have had time to sip a cocktail that the villans would certainly not have found the solution to shoot, barely they had the time of the midline. They were no less than 6 to defend in their 16 meters, curled up as a whole intention to prick against. Their only “situation” was a mollassone shot from Rogers after a loss of ball from Beraldo (72nd), far too insufficient not to start empty -handed from a match in which they have fired 20 times less than the Parisians. In the last moments of the meeting, Nuno Mendes came to punish them with this non-match by pointing Martinez and finishing the work in a wonderful way (90+2nd, 3-1). Paris will have to transform the test in 6 days in Birmingham.
