Following the Premier League this Sunday afternoon with the Manchester derby between United and City on behalf of the 31st day. At the accounting level, there were obviously challenges for both teams. So of course, no question of the title race neither for the Red Devils nor for the Cityzens but the race for the C1 for the formation of Pep Guardiola. For that of Ruben Amorim, the idea was to at least save the honor and finish the season in the first part of the table. At the level of the two teams, Guardiola replaced Haaland, injured, by Marmoush and Foden ahead. Kevin de Bruyne, who formalized his departure at the end of the season during the week, was also a holder.

On the side of Ruben Amorim, Garnacho and Bruno Fernandes accompanied Hojlund on the attack of the attack while Yoro began in the heart of the central defense. And if the match started hard with a crazy pierced by Garnacho after 30 seconds of play, the rest was much less exciting. After 45 minutes without any occasion, the two teams returned to the locker room with a 0-0 more than logical. The possession of the Cityzens was sterile, without rhythm, while United multiplied technical errors. In short, two teams that lacked confidence.

A sad 0-0

Upon returning from the locker room, we hoped a little more pace in what must be a shock from the English championship. And it started better with this very good return from Ussair Mazraoui in its surface to prevent the shot from Phil Foden. Then … nothing for a very long time. Shortly after the hour of play, Marmoush obliged, twice, onana to relax. His sublime dry strikes were too much on the goalkeeper. United responded through Joshua Zirkzee who pushed Ederson to relax.

So much for the only things to put in the tooth in this match. At the end of the meeting, in a false rhythm, neither of the two teams managed to make the difference. United, at home, was trying to push, but without success. We mostly felt the fear of losing in the last moments. With this sad 0-0 which illustrates the weakness of the two teams this season, the classification of the Premier League is not at all turned upside down. Far from it.
