Small first league event. After almost 6 months without defeat in the championship (0-1 against Nottingham Forest on September 14), Liverpool let out three points against Fulham this Sunday (3-2). Mac Allister had however put the Reds on good rails by triggering an overpowered strike in the quarter of an hour (0-1). But a blow, Sessegnon (23rd), Iwobi (32nd), and Rodrigo Muniz, after having ridiculed Virgil van Dijk of a high class sequence (37th), found the net for the cotter.

The reduction in the gap by Luis Diaz (72nd, 3-2) will have been insufficient for Liverpool, which is still a leader, but lacks the opportunity to put Arsenal at 14 points. Thanks to its success, Fulham goes up to 8th place. In parallel, Chelsea was hung by Brentford this afternoon (0-0), and could, if the Skyblues' victory in the derby against Manchester United earlier, lose his 4th place. Finally, Tottenham went to win against Southampton (3-1) in the merit of Brennan Johnson, author of a double (13th, 42nd), and Mathys Tel, penalty goalscorer (90+6th) and for the first time in his career in the Premier League. A defeat that is expensive to the saints, officially relegated to Championship a year after their rise. For Spurs, not enough to upset their ambitions after this success, since they are only 13th in the standings.
