José Mourinho continues to make waves in Türkiye. This Wednesday, after the defeat of Fenerbahçe against Galatasaray (1-2) in the quarter-final of the Turkey Cup, the Portuguese coach, who has occupied the Sarı Kanaryalar bench since last July, has distinguished himself in a very bad way.
The Special One was seen pinching the nose of its Galatasaray counterpart, Okan Buruk. The Stambouliote coach then collapsed on the lawn, complaining of pain. Mourinho therefore risks big, he who had already been suspended in early March for remarks deemed “racist”.
Galatasaray denounces an attack on Turkey
For Metin Öztürk, vice-president of the Cimbom, the behavior of the native of Setúbal is unspeakable and constitutes a direct involvement in Turkey. “It is an attack on Galatasaray, against the technical director of Galatasaray, but also against Turkish football. I don't know where José Mourinho's courage comes from. He insults Turkey. He has already received a suspension of four games, which was brought back to two games. Today he attacked Okan. We have trouble understanding ”, he denounced in front of the local media.
The Turkish leader requires an exemplary sanction against the “soft”, and awaits an adequate reaction from the Turkish Football Federation (TFF). “I suppose that the Federation and the observers saw that Whit and Mourinho went to congratulate the referees. You then saw them on the screen. Mourinho first attacked it verbally, then physically. How can he do this? Where does he think that Turkey is? I suppose that before the federation, the administration of Fenerbahçe will inflict the necessary sanctions ”, added Öztürk.
