Brazil's disappointing 4-1 defeat against Argentina in Buenos Aires has intensified attention on the mandate of Dorival Junior as coach, especially just over a year from the 2026 World Cup in the United States, Canada and Mexico. After Tite's departure following the elimination of Brazil in the quarter -final against Croatia at the 2022 World Cup, he is the third coach to lead the team. According to Gegolobo, the 62 -year -old man is also expected to leave if he fails to straighten the bar.
The president of the CBF, Ednaldo Rodrigues, recently re -elected, had previously appointed Ancelotti as his main target for 2023, Pep Guardiola having also been envisaged before his extension of contract with Manchester City. However, the Italian said that discussions would only advance after the Club World Cup, in which Real Madrid will participate between June and July in the United States.
