Like every year,
The team unveiled the ranking of the biggest wages in the French championship. It is the clubs with foreign investors, with the exception of Stade Rennais, who are those who best pay their players. AS Monaco, owned by the Russian investor Dimitri Rybolovlev, has the fourth highest payroll in Ligue 1.
The highest paid player of the workforce is none other than Aleksandr Golovin ex æquo with Denis Zakaria with a gross monthly salary of 320,000 euros. Thilo Kehrer completes the podium with a remuneration of 290,000 euros.
The young nugget and international French hope of ASM, Magnes Akliouche, occupies the eighth place in the classification with a gross monthly salary of € 200,000.
The absence of income tax, the major asset of AS Monaco
This classification is nevertheless distorted by an element: the absence of income tax for foreign players practicing in the Principality. As the newspaper indicates The Team,
Several Monegasques could have appeared at the gates of the top 10 paid players in Ligue 1 otherwise.
In any case, the absence of income tax well suits AS Monaco's affairs, because the gross salary actually corresponds to the net in Monaco. By taking the example of Golovin as the French daily does, its € 320,000 net could represent much more than the € 500,000 monthly gross affected by Adrien Rabiot at OM. This lack of taxation is therefore an argument to allow the Principality club to attract their target.
