Thiago Motta and Juventus, it's already over! Fifth of Serie A, the old lady has, in fact, decided to officially separate from the 42 -year -old Italian technician. Arrived last summer on the Turin bench after an experience more than convincing on the side of Bologna, the former PSG midfielder never managed to get the best out of this Vecchia Signora.

He had everything to succeed, and yet, Thiago Motta leaves Juventus Turin by the small door, on the occasion of the current international break. As reported by all of the Italian media this Sunday, the decision to dismiss him was communicated to him, by phone. The Italian-Brazilian had left to recharge his batteries for a few days in Portugal, and he was initially expected to manage the return of the internationals before the resumption of the championship next weekend. A strong but inevitable choice after the 7 goals conceded during the last two defeats against Atalanta and Fiorentina, elimination in the Champions League against PSV Eindhoven but also that in the Italian Cup against Empoli. So many disappointments added to the risk of not qualifying for the next C1 and the many tensions in the locker room.

Thiago Motta lost everything during a meeting

The basic idea was to give Thiago Motta one last chance, when receiving the Genoa, trained by Patrick Vieira. But a meeting held Tuesday between Motta, the technical director Cristiano Giuntoli and President Maurizio Scanavino, obviously pushed the latter to decide in favor of a dismissal. Hardwords have been pronounced by GiUntoli with regard to Motta, since the Gazzeta dello Sport report that he would have dropped to the coach: “I'm ashamed to have chosen you”. In particular, a reaction deemed too soft during this famous meeting. Judged too serene, too cold, during this discussion, Motta sealed her destiny at this precise moment.

With a record of 18 victories, 16 draws and 8 defeats in 42 matches in all competitions, Motta therefore leaves the Banc Turin and will not leave an unforgettable memory on the side of the Allianz Stadium. For its part, Juve will now try to secure its place for the next Champions League and has decided to bet on Igor Tudor for that. The Croatian embarked on a 4 -month contract, renewable according to the results obtained. A mission of a few months therefore for the native of Split, without club since his departure from Lazio after the 2023/2024 season.
