At 20, Vitor Roque made a (first?) Lightning passage in Europe. Recruited by FC Barcelona in 2024 against € 40 million, the young Brazilian striker was sold a year later in Palmeiras in exchange for € 20 million. Expected as the providential goalscorer of Blaugranas, Vitor Roque never adapted to Catalonia, despite a successful passage to Betis. Since then, his agent, André Cury has explained on Uol That Barça did not want to part with it and that his foal was not excited by a return to the country.

“If it had only depended on Barça, the answer would have been negative. Then, I met Anderson (Barros) and Leo Holanda (legal representative of Palmeiras), and with a lawyer from Madrid, we went ahead and managed to obtain a favorable opinion from FIFA. It was an incredible and very well done job. Vitor can play two, three or four seasons here in Palmeiras and he can still return to Europe and in the Brazilian national team. I think that the number 9 position is still open today, even if we have sensational attackers in Brazilian football. At the beginning, he (Vitor Roque) did not want (return to Brazil) because he was already in Europe, but I told him what had happened with Henrique and Keirrison … A big European club buys the player, then has no place for him and begins to lend him to other clubs. »»
