Raised by the French team by Didier Deschamps during the first two rallies of the season, in September and October, after a Euro 2024 spent on the bench, Benjamin Pavard made his return to the tricolor group last November. The Inter defender came into play during the victory in San Siro against Italy (1-3) which validated the qualification for the quarter-finals of the League of Nations against Croatia, in a round trip, Thursday evening in Split and Sunday in Saint-Denis.

2018 world champion and therefore well installed in the group led by a captain Kylian Mbappé back, Pavard should not have a lot of playing time during these two decisive games against the Croats of his former teammate in Bayern Ivan Perisic. In central defense, he passed widely after Ibrahima Konaté, William Saliba and Dayot Upamecano. As a right side, he made a more defensive option than Jonathan Clauss as a lining of Jules Koundé.

Pavard number 1 of the parade?

At least, Pavard did not miss his arrival in Clairefontaine on Monday. As it is now a habit, tricolor players offer an anecdotal parade to photographers when they arrived at the Château du Center National Football, on the first day of the EDF rally. The northerner was acclaimed on social networks for his very elegant outfit. The Nerazzurri player opted for products from the Milanese brand Bottega Veneta, including a 2,500 euros jacket and a leather handbag offered at 6,800 euros on the luxury brand's site.

Benjamin Pavard is not a fashion fan of the first hour like Jules Koundé, but he is certainly advised in terms of look by his fiancée Kleofina Pnishi, Miss Provence 2017 known to have participated in Beijing Express In 2019. It also played a bad tour on February 23, when he published on Instagram a fashion photo in white tank top. The shot was awarded by his teammates from the Blues, including Mbappé, and also welcomed numerous homophobic comments from Internet users.
