This feat would allow Madrilenians to integrate the closed circle of clubs that have already won the three titles in one season, namely Celtic Glasgow (1966-67), Ajax Amsterdam (1971-72), PSV Eindhoven (1987-88), Manchester United (1998-99), FC Barcelona (2008-2009 then 2014-2015), Inter Milan (2009-2010), Bayern Munich (2012-2013 then 2019-2020) and the latest Manchester City (2022-2023).
