Sunday evening, Adrien Rabiot expected a hostile welcome for his return to the Parc des Princes in the OM jersey. He was not “disappointed”. As soon as he entered the lawn, the former Parisian was the target of insulting songs and particularly virulent banners, also targeting his mother, VĂ©ronique Rabiot. An electric atmosphere that marked the classic evening, won by PSG (3-1).

Faced with these attacks, the Marseille environment was quick to answer on Instagram, by addressing Parisian supporters directly and especially to Nasser al-KhelaĂŻfi: “Nasser, you can have all the money in the world, and even more, the class cannot be bought. »» A scathing statement that immediately made react.

PSG condemns but clears

In the aftermath of the match, PSG published a press release in which it distanced himself from the insults made in the stands. The club claims not to have validated these banners and claims to have done everything to educate its supporters before the meeting. “The club firmly condemns any initiative affecting dignity and calls on all actors to adopt the same position, in order to guarantee exemplary, serene and respectful stands. »»

PSG responds to Rabiot's accusations.

PSG also explains that he had not been aware of these banners before their display and that they are considered as “Wild banks”. A way to clear yourself while avoiding throwing oil on the fire after the media outing of Rabiot.

The Rabiot clan does not bother

If the Parisian club tries to calm the controversy, Véronique Rabiot points out a form of responsibility for PSG. Present on the set of Greg's team, she said:
“We cannot enter banners of this size without it being known. Or it is that the club is poorly managed. Those who must react are those in power ”.

The tension between Adrien Rabiot and PSG does not seem ready to fall back. The story between the French international and his training club continues to be marked by bitterness and conflicts.
