A year after the Girondins de Bordeaux last spring on the occasion of the centenary of Lescure park, it will be around FC Nantes to pay in nostalgia, on June 3. A “legendary match” will indeed be held at the Beaujoire with the poster of Many personalities and ancient glories of the club, all generations combined.
The meeting will see these big names from FC Nantes face the Varieties Club de France with in particular Robert Pirès, Alain Giresse or the humorist Paul Mirabel. On the Nantes side, Marcel Desailly, Patrice Loko, Maxime Bossis, Marama Vahirua are announced and the Canaries should be coached by Coco “Suaudeau, the emblematic coach of FC Nantes.
Thirty years later, the 1995 French champions should particularly be honored and in addition to Patrice Loko, many players of this golden generation will be present. This will notably be the case of Reynald Pedros, Eddy Capron, Japhet Ndoram or Christian Karembeu.
Exiled in Greece, the 1998 world champion has already assured his presence, he who had made an emotional borrowed return to the Beaujoire in September 2022 during the Europa League match between FC Nantes and Olympiakos, of which he is the sports director. The Kanak was therefore offered a flocked jersey of number four, the one he wore in his last season with the club (1994/1995).
