Having become indisputable in the well -oiled system of Hansi Flick, the future of Frenkie de Jong is written in dotted lines in Barcelona while his contract expires in less than four months. According to Sportthe sports management of FC Barcelona represented by Deco would have proposed to the Dutchman an extension of a season, until June 2026, with a salary oscillating between 18 and 20 million euros a year.

A high limit that the Catalans will not be able to cross under penalty of returning to the nails of the financial sanctions which had prevented them from registering the contracts of Dani Olmo and Pau Victor in early January, but which seems to be suitable for the player's clan, still according to Sport. The former Ajax midfielder would be grateful to Hansi Flick for having revived him after several complicated years in Catalonia and would be ready to make efforts to stay at the club.
