Juventus Turin has definitely said goodbye to the title of champion of Italy and was faced with its own limits on Sunday, at the end of the 28th day of Serie A. The Bianconeri were corrected (0-4) at home by Atalanta and let Inter Milan and Naples take 9 and 8 points ahead of the championship respectively.

The outcome of this shock between pretenders to the podium, and the basis for the title, caused anger and frustration of the Piedmontese tifosi, which have chanted sweet words to their protégés in the second half. Thiago Motta and his men remained on five consecutive victories in Serie A, but violently relapsed from their lawn, against insolent bergamasques of efficiency and accuracy.

A Calvary in the second half

At the head of the break thanks to a penalty transformed by Mateo Retagui (0-1, 29th), the top scorer in Serie A, the players of Gian Piero Gasperini have pushed the nail on the return from the locker room thanks to Maarten de Roon (0-2, 46th), before transforming this beautiful evening into a demonstration.

Davide Zappacosta (0-3, 66th), on a pass from the former Marseillais Sead Kolasinac, and Admola Lookman (0-4, 77th), happy to see his slightly diverted strike, allowed the winners of the Europa 2024 League to bring a ordeal to their hosts to life.

Kephren Thuram and Randal Kolo Muani were holders for Juve, but did not supervise in this very heavy defeat. The Turinois will be in Florence next week, to try to correct the shot against Fiorentina.
