A few years ago, Olympique de Marseille had a second extremely gifted goalkeeper in the person of Brice Samba. Unfortunately, there was not really a history between the French international, blocked by Steve Mandanda, and OM, who let him go. Subsequently, Samba showed that he had the level to succeed Mandanda in the Olympian cage. What if the Marseille club again had an excellent young goalkeeper on hand, with the risk of leaving this nugget in sleep to an inevitable separation?

Simon Ngapandouetnbu is loaned by Olympique de Marseille in Nîmes until the end of the season. The 21 -year -old Cameroonian, at the club since 2019, has not yet had the opportunity to appear with the sky and white in the official match, but some believe hard as iron in him. We don't know what Medhi Benatia and Pablo Longoria think, but André Onana, his teammate in selection and current Manchester United porter, is dithyrambic about him.

In an interview with the Media Carré, Onana braided praise to her young partner in the Indomitable Lions. “Simon is an exceptional goalkeeper. He is young. If he is a little lucky – because football is that, we need this lucky side – he will have a brilliant career, he will surpass us all. I train with him in selection. I had the chance to evolve with other guards in large clubs. But it is one of the few that makes me want to retire! This little one is ready already ”, Ensures Onana.

Nîmes is 16th out of 17 in national this season, with a point behind the 15th. Simon Ngapandouetnbu has played 20 games with the crocodiles and will return to the Canebière during the summer, after trying to keep the Gard club in the third step. For the time being, the number one in the Marseille cage this season, Geronimo Rulli, is absolutely untouchable. The Argentinian has a good chance of being elected best Ligue 1 goalkeeper at the end of the season, as her performances have contributed to the right Olympian exercise until then. Behind, on the other hand, one can imagine a form of competition for the lining station between the Dutch Jeffrey de Lange and Simon Ngapandouetnbu. And if this is not the case, maybe a new talented goalkeeper will know his hatching far from Marseille …
