PSG will move to Anfield next Tuesday with a delay goal. This week, the Ile-de-France residents received Liverpool in the round of 16 go to the Champions League and bowed 0-1 on their lawn. A happy result for the Reds, who lived a complicated evening on the ground, seeing multiple Parisian waves, without almost never being able to react. While the English face Southampton this Saturday in the Premier League, Arne Slot was present at a press conference.

Asked about the performance of his players against Paris, the Dutchman admitted that his team could consider himself lucky to leave with such a result: “ We were not a little lucky, we were really, really lucky. But as Michael Jordan said, the more hard you work, the more lucky you are. It is the greatest compliment that we can do to the players. Even in the second half, we were not at all the dominant team, but we checked them better than in the first half. The former Feyenoord technician still wanted to underline the few qualities posted in the second period: ” We were mentally and physically so strong to produce such a performance in the second half, without conceding as many open occasions as in the first half. Even scoring a goal in counter-attack shows how mentally and physically strong players are. It remains to be seen if Liverpool will display another face during the return match.
