Nothing is lost yet for PSG. To qualify, Luis Enrique players will indeed have no choice but to win in Anfield next Tuesday.
A victory of the red and blue by a goal of gap will take the two teams in overtime while a wider success will send the Parisians to the quarters. Not simple, therefore, especially since the Reds have lost once at home this season in the Premier League. It was September 14, against Nottingham Forest (0-1). Since then, they have only conceded three defeats, all outside.
A big shortfall for PSG?
In the event of elimination, Paris Saint-Germain can console itself with a nice check. But not as big as hoped. The unhappy finalist will receive 18.5 million euros, when the winner will pocket 25 million euros.
In total, PSG will thus be deprived of a potential premium of 52.5 million euros in the event of a road trip against the English. A sum that does not take into account the market pool, a figure based on the value of the television market of each club in the running, neither the historic coefficient, nor the bonus of 4 million euros paid to the team which will compete in the UEFA Super Cup.
