Mohamed Salah, zero pointed at PSG

The Liverpool star, Mohamed Salah, achieved a rare “invisible” performance against PSG, Egyptian statistics comprising 10 zeros in key areas.

Salah was brilliant for the Reds throughout the 2024-25 campaign, helping them to stay in the running for major honors in several competitions. During a productive season on Merseyside, he scored 30 goals and 22 assists.

The 32-year-old, however, practically did not take the goal while Liverpool achieved a robbery in the Champions League on Paris Saint-Germain during the first leg of the knockout stages of the Champions League. Although he only pulled twice, against 27 for PSG, and he only saw 30 % of the ball, Harvey Elliott-who replaced Salah in the 86th minute-provided a spectacular victory for 1-0 for the Reds on Parisian soil.

Little inspired against Paris

Salah is usually the reference player in terms of offensive inspiration, but he spent an evening forgetting in Paris. Salah's statistics that day saw him not to mark or make a assist, not having drawn (that is to say no shot on framed), do not create opportunities, do not make assists, dribble or center with precision, and not win duels or free kick.

The anonymous performance of Salah did not matter much about the final whistle, the leaders of the Premier League having taken a new positive step towards ultimate European glory. He will be convinced that a more significant contribution can be made during the PSG visit to Anfield on March 11.
