Lloris aims at the 2026 World Cup

Even if the great difficulties of Olivier Giroud darke the painting, the Los Angeles FC has had an excellent start to the season. The Californian team also led by Hugo Lloris won its first two MLS matches (1-0 against Minnesota and 1-0 against New York City), crossed its first Tour of Champions Cup (the equivalent of the Champions League in North America) against Colorado (2-1, 1-0) and even won 3-0 Sound 8-0 Tuesday.

The Angelinos had then been beaten in the League Cup final by Columbus on August 26, despite a goal from Giroud.

The Lloris's decisive pass for Bouanga against Seattle, a powerful release from the left for the Gabonese international, was elected Best Assist of the League Cup 2024. A very fun verdict! For the most beautiful goal of the tournament, it is a magnificent Madjer from Paulinho, the Portuguese midfielder of Toluca (passed by Sporting in recent years), which has been acclaimed. The League Cup will be back next summer, from July 29 to August 31.
