In the aftermath of Real Madrid's success against Girona (2-0), a last match in the twenty-fifth day of Liga took place on Monday evening between Seville FC and Mallorca. The locals have long believed their ninth victory of the season in the league, but were joined in stoppage (1-1).

The first period was clearly dominated by the Sevillans who managed to open the score in extremis, just before returning from the locker room, through Kike Salas (1-0, 45th+2). The physiognomy of the meeting then changed slightly and things rebalanced during the second act.

Valjent, a goal far from being miserable for Mallorca

Despite a certain indiscipline with three players sanctioned with a yellow in the space of twenty minutes, Mallorca showed his desire to return and was rewarded for his efforts in the final minutes of the game. It was Martin Valjent who found the fault (1-1, 90th+1) and who therefore allowed his family to start from the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan stadium with a point.

In the ranking, Mallorca remains in contact with the Rayo Vallecano in the fight for the sixth and last European place. As for Seville FC? It remains well wedged in the middle of the table in the eleventh place, with nine points ahead of the red zone.
