Amorim spoke of the good and bad sides he sees in front of him, notably emphasizing the positive points in training, while he was addressed to the media at a press conference before facing Everton in the Premier League Saturday, at the morning kick -off. The Portuguese admitted that there are moments when it “does not feel” of improvement, but others when it is clear how this team of Mancester United is “capable”.
“What I feel is that sometimes I don't feel any improvement in the team and then we have matches where it is more difficult, but you feel that we can play, we can create situations”, Amorim told journalists.
“It's a good thing. But I think at the moment, when we watch the games, we see that there are more problems than solutions. I think it's clear, but I think that when we play some games, things are there and we are capable of it. But we have to be constant and that's it.
A big to come
“It is more important in training, and what I see in training is that they improve and create relationships. We create links and understand how we want to play. Even the sound of training is different – when we do an exercise, you feel the sound. People speak, ask the ball and give instructions. You can feel it in the environment, we change. It is important to use it in the game. ”
Amorim has lost as many games (9) as he has won in 21 outings since his arrival in November. He also won only four Premier League victories in 14 during this period, the team having difficulty mastering a set of very specific tactics which he tried to implement.
