“It's a February 10 today, I remembered more, but apparently, I scored my first goal. It's been a bit of memories, because it was 34 years ago anyway ”launches Zinedine Zidane, 52, in a video published on Instagram by
Universe Football. The Marseille native returned to his Castellane district to meet young footballers. The future legend of football was spotted at the seven-les-vallons club by AS Cannes and it was with the crocodiles that “Zizou” started with the pros (before really getting up to the Girondins de Bordeaux).

On February 10, 1991, Zinedine Zidane, 18 years old and 7 months old, actually opened his goals for professionals, during the reception of FC Nantes. It was against the same Nantes training that the young midfielder had already started with Cannes, in May 1989 at La Beaujoire, launched at the end of the match by Jean Fernandez. Marcel Desailly and Didier Deschamps, future world champions 98 and European champions 2000 with Zidane, were holders on the Nantes side.

Zidane escapes Desailly

If the interested party does not really remember it, Zidane's very first goal in the hexagonal first division is brilliant. While Nantes had opened the scoring on penalty by Christophe Robert in the 20th minute, the residents of the Pierre-de-Coubertin stadium equalized before the time of play (56th). Franck Durix launched Zidane full axis, Maxime Bossis had followed the call of another player, Marcel Desailly was speeded by “Zizou”, who took the ball from the outside of the foot to Lober David Marraud .

Desailly and Zidane clashed eleven times during their careers, five times during a Nantes-Cannes, twice when “Zizou” faced OM in 1993 with Bordeaux, during the UEFA Cup quarter mythical between the Girondins and AC Milan in 1996 and then in two Serie a between the Rossoneri and Juventus. They were obviously the executives of the French champion of the world champion 98 and winner of Euro 2000, playing a total of 76 matches together in August 1994 at Euro 2004.
