Since its last title of Italian champion in 2022, AC Milan has struggled to find a certain form of continuity. Marked by instability at all floors of the organization chart, the Milanese club tries as best they can to renew itself. Sportingly, this season, under the orders of Paulo Fonseca and then of Sérgio Conceição, AC Milan did not really shine. Recent winner of the Italian Super Cup, the club points to 8th place in the Serie A ranking and is above all badly embarked during the Champions League dams with a defeat during the first leg against Feyenoord Rotterdam (0-1).

However, this winter, the club tried to relaunch itself by being active on the transfer market. The direction led by Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who therefore sold Ismael Bennacer to OM, recorded the arrivals of Warren Bondo, Kyle Walker, Luka Romero, Santiago Gimenez, Riccardo Sottil and the big blow Joao Felix. The Portuguese striker, stopped in his career for several years, remains a talented attacker who can hurt when he is confident. Precisely, since his arrival, he seems to have won the confidence of his coach Sérgio Conceição.

Leao and Hernandez sacrificed?

Already a holder twice (on his first 3 matches), the 25 -year -old striker found the flaw on a recovery. And while it is only loaned without purchase option by Chelsea, his future will still ask questions in the coming months. According to information from Gazzetta dello Sportthe former Atlético de Madrid already wants to stay in Milan next season. And it is obviously the will of the Milanese board who sees himself relaunch it. The Italian club is already looking for formulas to keep it, because it is obviously a thorny file.

The Italian daily explains that AC Milan wishes to negotiate a loan until June 2026 with a purchase option this time. But the player cost 50 million in Chelsea less than a year ago and the blues will therefore want to recover their bet. In this sense, Milan is ready to separate from Rafael Leao and Théo Hernandez this summer to bring in cash and thus align with the requirements of Chelsea. The two players are coveted and have a large market value, the largest in the workforce. For his part, Joao Felix has already explained internally that the Milanese context would allow him to become the player he was in Benfica again. Simple speech in the air or certainty? The future will tell us.
