PSG – AS Monaco: the probable compositions

It is already time for the recovery for Ligue 1. Once is not custom, it is even the shock of this 21st day that launches this new football weekend. After the Nantes-Brest at 7 p.m., PSG has an appointment with AS Monaco at 9:05 p.m. at the Parc des Princes. A poster worthy of a 16th final of the Champions League since the two clubs almost met at this stage of the competition. Instead, this always expected confrontation will take place in the league and will have an impact on the top of the table since it is simply the leader who faces the 3rd. 13 points still separate the two teams at the kick -off.

This meeting is also the last general rehearsal for the two teams before the round trips against Brest and Benfica in the Champions League. They will want to put themselves in confidence, or failing that in the rhythm, and nothing better for that of such adversity. Luis Enrique should opt for its now usual 4-3-3. In front of goalkeeper Donnarumma, the Parisian coach plans to align João Neves on the right and Nuno Mendes on the left, while Achraf Hakimi and Lucas Hernandez should be spared. A little doubt exists for the hinge, but the most credible option should be Beraldo, certainly accompanied by his compatriot Marquinhos. Pacho would be left to rest.

Kvaratskhelia holder again?

In the midfield also there is uncertainty. With the absence of Zaïre-Emery (injured), the options are still reduced. Vitinha could resume his place in front of the defense, a post left to Fabian Ruiz against Le Mans. The Spaniard could chain to the left of the Portuguese and leave the last post to Lee, while Mayulu was left to rest for this meeting. Regarding the attack line, we would find Barcola on the right, the unstoppable Dembélé in point, and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia on the left despite the timid starts.

Opposite, Adi Hütter plans a 4-4-2 in order to thwart the Parisian plans. Majecki will start in the cage again with the defensive quartet already seen this season. With the absences of Singo and Teze, Vanderson and Caio Henrique are expected in side posts, and a central defense made up of Kehrer and Mawissa. In the middle, the double holder should start with Captain Zakaria and the young Magassa. At creation, there are more doubts. If Akliouche is expected on the right side, the competition promises to be more harsh on the left, even if Minamino seems to leave with a step ahead of Golovin and Ben Seghir. In front, it is Biereth, author of a hat-trick last weekend, which should accompany Embolo.
