Even at 39, Luka Modric continues to impress. Scorer for the third time of the season this Wednesday evening against Leganés, the Croatian is still an essential room for Carlo Ancelotti. It's simple: the midfielder is, tied with Antonio Rüdiger, the second most used player this season, behind Federico Valverde. And despite a globally decreasing playing time, with only seven liga tenure, AS Affirms that the one who arrived in the White House in 2012 wishes to extend the adventure a little.

Currently under contract with the residents of Bernabéu until next June, Modric wishes to renew his lease of an additional year. The Spanish source says that its goal is to continue with the Merengue, and thus compete in the 2026 World Cup with its selection. He will then be 40 years old.
