According to The Sun, the 21-year-old plans to make the trip from Bahrain because he wants to live there rather than in Saudi Arabia. The report adds that the attacker will stay more than 500 km from Al-Nassr, who is on the outskirts of Riyadh, and that a flight will take an hour and 20 minutes from Bahrain International Airport. Duran will therefore have to get used to an exhausting travel program.
Duran made a surprise transfer to Al-Nassr by Cristiano Ronaldo at the end of last month for a huge transfer amount of 77 million euros. Many have questioned the desire of the Colombian after joining the Saudi pro League, rich in liquidity but of lower quality, at such a young age. It remains to be seen how he will get out there.
A couple problem
The report adds that Duran's decision to live in Bahrain was partly influenced by the confusion that reigns as to whether he would be allowed to live with his girlfriend in Saudi Arabia. In this state of the Gulf and under Islamic law, the cohabitation of unmarried couples is not recommended.
Duran impatiently awaited his debut in Al-Nassr, his new team to face al-Wasl in the AFC Champions League on Monday evening.
