The older of the two Bellinghams moved to Germany in the summer of 2020, signing for Dortmund, and the Borussen are one of two clubs keen to bring his younger brother to the Bundesliga. Both teams sent emissaries to Sunderland's 1-0 win at Derby on Tuesday to see the midfielder in action, The Sun reports.
Jude Bellingham has taken the football world by storm since joining Dortmund and then Real Madrid in 2023 – and his younger brother Jobe is also growing in stature. The 19-year-old has scored four goals for the Mackems this season, but it is his versatile abilities in midfield that have caught the eye, including a lanky style reminiscent of the England and Real star.
The same journey as Jude
Like Jude, Jobe started out at Birmingham City before joining Sunderland in 2023. Although he moved on a little later than his brother, Jobe is only 19 and has been one of the Championship's best players this season , starting with the exception of three championship matches for his team.
Although a transfer is being discussed, it seems unlikely to happen this month. Sunderland sit fourth in the Championship, three points off the automatic promotion positions, and will be desperate to hold on to their best players as they aim to end an eight-year absence from the top flight.
