PSG-Reims, the improbable Marseille chamber

Perfectly relaunched in the Champions League after its resounding victory over Manchester City on Wednesday evening (4-2), PSG was however content with a draw against Reims on Saturday during the 19e lifting of Ligue 1 (1-1). If Ousmane Dembélé opened the scoring after returning from the locker room (47e), the Champenois were able to respond immediately thanks to Keito Nakamura (56e).

It was at this precise moment that an improbable scene took place at the Parc des Princes. A decisive passer at the time, Marshall Munetsi then burst into a celebration that some will have interpreted as a clear provocation against the Parisian public: the famous sign of the Marseille rapper Jul, with both hands clasped.

Certainly, the Zimbabwean midfielder did not act in this way by chance. Jul being inseparable from the Marseille city in the collective unconscious, and Marshall Munetsi not being accustomed to this celebration. Regularly observed in the aisles of the Vélodrome, this gesture with a clear Marseille connotation was invited onto the pitches of Ligue 1 through the former Olympian Rémy Cabella.
